"Phonics part just didn’t work for us"
I really wanted this to be a solid way for my kid to get clear phonics practice, but it ended up feeling kind of scattered. The sounds and letter patterns weren’t explained well enough, so we kept having to pause and backtrack.

This is where it got annoying: I’d end up stepping in to teach the lesson myself, which pretty much defeated the purpose. Maybe it clicks for other kids, but for us it was more confusing than helpful, and the phonics instruction just didn’t feel strong enough for a reading program.

"Instructor wasn’t helpful at all"
The whole session felt really rushed. The instructor barely explained anything and I left feeling like I didn’t get much out of it. For what I paid, I’d expect better guidance, or at least some kind of credit or compensation for the experience.

"Booking Was Easy, But a Bit Limited"
Scheduling wasn’t too bad overall. It was easy enough to find and book a time, which I appreciated, but I did wish there were more evening options available. We made it work in the end, though it felt a little limited for our schedule.

"Pricing Could Be More Transparent"
The programs themselves seemed decent, and I was interested in learning more. That said, the pricing information was not very easy to find. I had to click around quite a bit just to get an idea of what it might cost, which was a little frustrating. I just wish they were more upfront about the fees before asking people to sign up

"Didn’t really see the progress I expected"
My son tried this for a few weeks, we didn’t notice much improvement in his reading. I kind of assumed that if he was doing the lessons regularly, we’d start seeing a pattern of progress by then, but it just never really happened. A few of the lessons were fine, but overall it felt slow, and he started getting bored with it quickly.

"Overall, the program was okay. The reading..."
Overall, the program was okay. The reading lessons seemed solid enough, and my child did make some progress, so I can’t complain too much there. But parent communication felt like the part that always gets overlooked with these kinds of programs. A few times I wasn’t really sure what was due or how my child was doing unless I reached out myself. It wasn’t a bad experience, but I feel like parents generally just want to be kept in the loop a little more.

"Helped a bit, but not a ton"
After a few weeks, my kid was reading a little smoother, so yeah, there was some improvement with fluency. But the lessons got repetitive and he was bored real quick. For the price, I kinda expected more support and better progress. It wasn’t awful or anything, just a bit of a letdown.

"The curriculum really helped my kid"
I’m really happy with how well this worked for my kid. Their reading has improved a lot, and the whole process was easy to follow without feeling overwhelming

"Refund was quick and painless"
I signed up for readingprograms.org and thought I’d use it more, but after about a week I realized I didn’t really need it anymore. I messaged them to cancel and asked about a refund, and, anyway, I was expecting some annoying back and forth, but that didn’t happen at all.

They got back to me quickly, cancelled everything, and the refund showed up a few days later. It was, like, way easier than I had built it up in my head to be. Really smooth experience, 5 stars from me.

"I don’t know why no one got back to me"
I don’t know why it was so hard to get help, but I emailed them twice about a login issue and never really got a useful answer. The first reply took days, and when it finally came, it felt like a basic copy-and-paste response that didn’t fix anything.

I also tried calling, but that didn’t go anywhere either. For a reading program, I expected better support when something wasn’t working. It was frustrating, and I don’t think I’d use them again.

"Good class overall, but I got a little uneasy after paying"
My kid took the online reading class it was good overall. The teacher was friendly, kept the class moving, and the lessons were easy enough to follow. I really liked being able to do everything from home too. I will say, after I paid, I got a little suspicious because the communication wasn’t as clear as I expected at first, so I was kind of wondering if everything would go smoothly. It ended up being fine, but that part made me a bit uneasy. The website was also slow a couple of times, and one class felt a little rushed. Still, my kid did improve, so in the end I’d say it was worth it.

"Helpful info, but the university connection was confusing"
The information was actually helpful, but I still wasn’t totally sure what the university affiliation really was. That part was weird and felt a little unclear to me.

"Noticed a small improvement in comprehension"
I’ve been using it for a bit, and while I wasn’t paying attention to every little change, I did notice my comprehension getting slightly better over time. It wasn’t a big overnight difference, but it helped some, slowly

"I signed up for readingprograms.org hoping it..."
I signed up for readingprograms.org hoping it would give my child a little confidence boost with reading, but that just didn’t happen. The lessons felt dull, and instead of getting more comfortable, my kid seemed more frustrated after using it.

We gave it a few weeks because I didn’t want to judge too quickly, but I barely noticed any improvement. Maybe it works for other families, but for us it felt like they made it sound more helpful than it actually was, and I ended up feeling like we wasted both time and money.

"My kid just lost interest..."
My kid was into it at first, but honestly... they got bored quickly and stopped wanting to do the lessons

"Didn’t really fit my kid’s age"
I signed up thinking this would be a good match for my child’s age and skill level, but it just didn’t land for us. Some of the activities felt way too babyish, and then others suddenly seemed too difficult. And this is where it got annoying, it was hard to keep my kid interested because nothing felt like the right fit. They got bored quickly, and we ended up barely using it before stopping altogether

"It’s good for what it..."
It’s good for what it costs, and my kid is actually reading more now, which is a win. I did feel a little ignored when I had a question, though, so that part was frustrating.

"Pretty easy to sign up, just a small wait"
The salesperson was friendly and didn’t feel pushy, which I really appreciated. Signing up through Readingprograms was straightforward. I did have to wait a little while to hear back about one question, but it wasnt a big deal. Overall, it’s been a good experience so far

"Felt Like We Just Got Left Behind"
The lessons moved way too fast for my kid, and once we started falling behind, it felt like nobody really noticed or cared. We tried to keep up, but it just felt rushed and a bit frustrating

"Vocabulary didn’t really grow much"
I tried readingprograms.org because I was hoping my kid would start picking up more new words, more vocabulary, just more overall. Some of the lessons were fine and my kid didn’t mind them, but the vocabulary growth was small for us. After a few weeks, I just expected a bit more progress.
